Linda Gibbons found guilty of disobeying court order, to be sentenced Wednesday

TORONTO, September 9, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) — Linda Gibbons was found guilty of disobeying a court order during a hearing in the provincial court at College Park in downtown Toronto this afternoon, with sentencing put off until this Wednesday at 2:15 p.m. at the same location.

The charge related to her arrest while demonstrating outside the “Morgentaler Clinic” abortion site this past June 11. Madam Justice Feroza Bhabha rejected defence counsel Daniel Santoro’s two arguments: that an injunction protecting the abortion site did not apply to Gibbons and that even if it did, her conduct on that date did not constitute a violation of its terms.

Bhabha said the document’s language encompassing “John Doe and Jane Doe and persons unknown” meant Gibbons was included and that Santoro’s argument was a “collateral attack” on the injunction, a process that has to be pursued in Superior Court. Morgentaler lawyer Clayton Ruby had argued the same in his surprise appearance before the court at the previous trial hearing.

As well, Bhabha accepted the testimonies of Morgentaler “operations manager” Shayna Hodgson and Intercon Security guard Brett Kitchen in ruling that Gibbons’s actions of wearing a large placard, standing in close proximity to the site’s door and engaging clients in dialogue meant she was “disturbing, interrupting or attempting to interrupt” the functioning of the Morgentaler site, conduct which is prohibited by terms of the injunction.

I’m asking you to do this because this is a very concrete way to help people cut through the lies by which some try to justify abortion and overcome the natural apathy to which human nature is inclined.

In order to end abortion, we’ve got to confront people with its horrible reality.

And one of the more powerful pieces of visual evidence indicting abortion as a crime against humanity are the gravesites which hold the remains of those children slaughtered in abortions.  Some of these graves contain hundreds, and others contain thousands of these little bodies!

These are the mass graves of America’s holocaust!

Equally powerful are the stories of how these innocent children were killed, how they were found, and how they were buried.

Tens of thousands of these children have been retrieved and buried at gravesites across America.

Each one of them is a compelling witness in the court of public opinion against abortion.  Their now silent voices can awaken the consciences of our fellow citizens if we but present them with the opportunity to speak out in their own defense.

And that’s what the National Day of Remembrance is all about.

New poll shows majority of Albuquerque voters support banning late-term abortions

Albuquerque, NM, September 9, 2013 (OperationRescue.org) – The Albuquerque Journal released results of a poll today that shows 54% of Albuquerque voters support the proposed municipal ban on abortions after 20 weeks, when babies are known to feel pain. Only 39% opposed the ordinance. The late-term abortion ban particularly enjoyed favor among Hispanic people, 57% of whom support the ordinance regardless of party affiliation. Those who identified as Republicans expressed an overwhelming 80% support for the ordinance. This is the first known effort to ban late-term abortions on the municipal level. Obamacare Implementation and Abortion Funding With Your Tax Money is Coming Soon

It’s silent. It’s deadly. And it’ll impact you and your family. Obamacare is coming (sooner than you may realize) and as pro-lifers, it’s imperative we be prepared.

The implementation begins as early as October with the funding for insurance plans that include elective abortion coverage. I don’t want you to be caught in the dark, which is why I felt it was necessary to re-visit this topic and provide you with important information relevant to your health insurance decisions.

The largest issue of contention is the abortion mandate. This is a secondary premium that’ll be on the majority of insurance plans and its sole purpose is to fund abortions. The reason this separate premium exists is because under the Hyde amendment, the government cannot directly provide funding for elective abortion services. This abortion surcharge will be collected by the insurance company, not the government, which is how Obamacare dodges the restrictions of the Hyde amendment.

What’s important to realize is the law dictates that the abortion surcharge is not disclosed until the time of enrollment. And even then, it can only be mentioned in the “Summary of Benefits and Coverage.” Essentially, it’s purposely hidden in the fine print. Your employer may not even know that their plan requires the abortion payment.

That leaves you as the employee without options; as you don’t have the choice to be exempt from the abortion premium. Research shows that in the current insurance market, most health insurance plans do provide coverage for abortion because it’s less costly than paying for prenatal care and delivery. Under Obamacare, insurance plans that participate in state exchanges will be eligible to receive federal subsidies. States exchange programs will be established to only sell those designed by the government. Therefore, insurance plans without the abortion surcharge may prove difficult to find and may not provide the desired level of overall medical coverage.

Premature baby found in dumpster with tissues stuffed up nose doing well, doctors say

Teenagers were milling around outside the Kensington Avenue apartment building around 3 p.m. when they heard some rustling and a noise they thought was made by an animal. But 15-year-old Keyshaun Williams and his friends soon realized its source was human.

They called the building supervisor’s wife, Rebecca Womers, to the scene.

“I opened the bag from the bottom, and it still had the umbilical cord attached,” she told NJ.com.

The baby’s mother had stuffed the child’s nose and mouth with tissues, sealed him in a trash bag, and thrown the child in the dumpster.

“The baby had garbage all over it,” Womers said.

As she began to open the bag, a hand emerged and gently curled its tiny finger around hers.

SUNDERLAND, UK, September 4, 2013 (LifeSiteNews) – A British mother is suing a government-run hospital after she was pressured into aborting a healthy baby her doctors insisted was ‘brain dead.’

Thirty-eight-year-old Sarah Hagan told the UK’s Daily Mail that at her 24-week ultrasound scan, doctors at Sunderland Royal Hospital said her baby’s brain had not developed, leaving him with “no chance of survival.”  They also said he probably had only one eye. 

Hagan claims the doctors told her she had no choice but to abort.  The only question was whether she would take pills to induce an abortion, or travel to another hospital to have her baby’s heart stopped before the procedure.

“I took them believing that a termination was the only way,” Hagan told the Daily Mail. “They even told me they would have to carry out a post mortem examination to find out what had gone wrong.”

Stunned and grieving, Hagan agreed to take the abortion pills, after a sleepless night spent agonizing over the decision.  But when she went home to wait for her baby to die, the pills seemed not to be working.  So she returned to the hospital, where after an initial examination, “flabbergasted” hospital staff told her that they would deliver her baby immediately.

Her baby boy, Aaron, was born perfectly formed, with both eyes intact, kicking and breathing.  He was not, as doctors had previously insisted, brain dead.  But his early delivery meant that his lungs weren’t developed, and he weighed only 1 lb., 7 oz.  He also had a life-threatening infection.  He was placed on a ventilator and spent two months in intensive care.

ObamaCare: Takes Planned Parenthood to a Whole New Level

By Susan T. Muskett, J.D., Senior Legislative Counsel President Obama’s health care law, ObamaCare, takes the federal government’s relationship with Planned Parenthood to a whole new level.

On August 15, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that Planned Parenthood affiliates in Iowa, Montana, and New Hampshire will be funded to serve as ObamaCare “Navigators.” Their combined funding will total over $655,000.By choosing these Planned Parenthood affiliates to be Navigators in the federally facilitated Exchanges, these Planned Parenthood affiliates will now have the seal of approval of the federal government as an entity that consumers can contact for help in applying for coverage.

Moreover, HHS plans to list the Navigators (e.g., Planned Parenthood) in each federally facilitated Exchange on HHS’ official government website as a resource to help consumers. [78 Fed. Reg. 42848].

As Navigators, they will help Americans select an Exchange health care plan and complete their applications. And they will help consumers determine if they qualify for federal assistance, such as Medicaid, or the federal premium subsidies.

Planned Parenthood is the largest provider of abortions in America today. And now, under ObamaCare, some Americans may end up going to a Planned Parenthood center to get the help they need to purchase health insurance. How ironic is that? That our federal government would direct families to affiliates of America’s largest abortion provider for help in purchasing insurance to cover life-preserving treatments?
