YOU must be the change you want to see in the world!

November 1, 2013

Dear Friend,

It’s been said that the only one that likes change is a wet baby! Change can be
pretty hard to take, especially if it is done suddenly. Changes can be made to our
lives slowly, too, and sometimes we don’t even realize that things have changed
until either it’s too late, or we suddenly realize the scope of the change. Sometimes that is how I feel about the state of morality and more in our country. It seems  like just yesterday that television shows didn’t show much sexual activity other than a kiss, and now there is very little they DON’T show! When abortion was made legal in 1973, it was supposed to be safe, legal and rare.  The only thing it is  now is legal! I get messages and e-mails all the time from people that feel the  way that I do. I know that national polls show that more Americans now are pro-life instead of pro-abortion.So just why are we allowing any threats to human life at  any stage of development to continue?

Mahatma Ghandi once said that YOU must be the change you want to see in the world!
That is so true. We all need to take part in making the changes that need to be
done in our communities, our culture, our youth, our morality and so much more.
You need to start somewhere. If you want to see change happen, then start taking  part in activities which will have a positive effect on the future. Here’s a few simple ways to get involved:

Crisis pregnancy centers offer women a life saving alternative to abortion, and
offer material assistance and more before and after the birth of children. CLICK
for the article “10 Helpful Ways to Support a Pregnancy Resource Center” published this past week in LifeSiteNews for ways that you can help them become the first choice for pregnant women in crisis.

Believe it or not, they really want to hear from you, whether they are on your side
or not. They have to listen to their constituents or run the risk of not getting
re-elected! That’s why it is so important to write or call them! CLICK HERE to
print “10 Tips on how to write to your legislator”. For updated information about current legislation, and for information on who your legislators are, CLICK HERE

Yes, it’s great to be involved in national campaigns life 40 Days for Life, and
Life Chain.  It’s even better to do it on a regular basis. CLICK HERE

to watch a short video clip called “Personally Pro-Life vs. Pro Life Activist”. After you watch the clip, consider joining our Clouds of Witnessesprogram where volunteers sign up on a recurring basis to stand for one hour per month or more at an abortion facility or Planned Parenthood location. They carry peaceful signs and have literature and more available about life saving alternatives to abortion.   CLICK HERE
for more information.

There are a lot more ways to get involved, but these things should help you to get
you started. Check out our website
and our Facebook
page to stay updated on more information. This weekend, after you “change” by turning
your clocks back one hour, consider making some changes that will influence those
around you and more to realize that ALL human life is a God given miracle! Let’s
do it together as our work goes on.

For Life,

Denise Leipold

Executive Director
