Dead Man Walking

Dear Friend,
A death row inmate on his journey to be executed is referred to by the prison guards as “dead man walking.”  He’s usually exhausted all his legal options trying to save his life, and whether innocent or not, the end is near.   When an abortion is scheduled for an innocent child in the womb, the child gets no legal options to try and save it’s life.  It is simply the decision of the mother to terminate the life, no matter what the reason.  A convicted killer has more legal protection than an innocent child.  Take a look at the following photo:
This full page ad was inspired by and paid for by a generous donor, and will run
in newspapers owned by Record Publishing (Cuyahoga Falls News Press, Stow Sentry, etc.) this Sunday, and in some, on next Wednesday. (FYI: Leader Publications…West Side Leader and South Side News Leader…refused to run it, and wouldn’t even discuss options for editing it to meet their approval.)  We don’t normally do this type of advertising, but the donor’s offer was too good to pass up, and the message is compelling.  I imagine the ad will stir up a lot of reaction for pro-abortion advocates, and that’s where YOU come in.  The ad asks people to respond on our facebook page.
There will probably be some very negative responses, and we don’t want to delete anything as long as the language isn’t inappropriate.  What we hope is that pro-life advocates would respond and defend life in a Christian and common sense manner whenever there is a negative comment.  It would speak volumes if there were life affirming responses other than those that we post ourselves.  Check our facebook page at www.facebook.com/NEOhioLife

often over the next couple of weeks and help us to uphold the sanctity of life!
If you live in one of the communities where the ad will be running, tear the ad
out and show it around.  You’ll never know just how many lives might be saved and hearts will be changed by showing just what abortion is…the end of an innocent, human life.
Fr. Frank Pavone, the head of Priests for Life, says that America will never end
abortion until it sees abortion.  This ad is mild in comparison to the violence
of abortion, but hopefully it will wake up many and start them on their way to
re-evaluating the incredible miracle of God’s gift of life.  If this ad starts a
dialog, then it is doing it’s job.  If someone needs more convincing, send them
to our website at www.rtlofneo.com/abortion [http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?e=001312Hcym2rIiRZDYfJLi1h9jKd54N4o1TgDlqytE4RU9A2G3d7yaXY80sNXY6f0A51J5PY5sG-RWwkZ1d-Qhpry0dAn8fH9bEW6v1qlqlueHFSkEKDBvT6O-43PLsfitb]
for more disturbing evidence.  We will continue the battle to save lives through
prayer and responsible actions as our work goes on.

Pope condemns abortion in strongest pro-life comments to date, day after controversial interview

Pope condemns abortion in strongest pro-life comments to date, day after controversial interview

BY JOHN-HENRY WESTEN

  • Fri Sep 20, 2013 09:50 EST

ROME, September 20, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – In a meeting with Catholic gynaecologists this morning Pope Francis strongly condemned abortion as a manifestation of a “throwaway culture.”

“Every unborn child, though unjustly condemned to be aborted, has the face of the Lord, who even before his birth, and then as soon as he was born, experienced the rejection of the world,” the pope said.

The comments come one day after the release of an in-depth interview in which the Pope had explained that despite criticism he has avoided speaking about moral issues like abortion and gay “marriage” in his papacy, instead focusing on preaching about the love of Christ.

The former leader singer of Kansas, known for such hits as “Dust in the Wind” and “Carry on My Wayward Son,” has produced a touching video to go along with a new single he’s released that tells the story of his adopted daughter’s birth.

Grammy-winning songwriter and producer John Elefante is using his newest song “This Time” to share the story of his adopted daughter’s birth and to help a pro-life group that uses the power of the Internet to help pregnant women considering abortion.

Elefante is well-known in the music business and, after singing for Kansas, he fronted the Christian rock band Mastedon with his brother and went on to produce well-known Chrisitan music artists including Guardian and other top Christian pop and rock bands.

Abortion Practitioner Failed to Report Statutory Rape of 13-Year-Old Girl

Abortion Practitioner Failed to Report Statutory Rape of 13-Year-Old Girl

by Steven Ertelt | Fort Wayne, IN | LifeNews.com | 9/18/13 9:56 AM

An Indiana abortion practitioner is coming under fire today for failing to file a timely report on the abortion he did on a 13-year-old girl who was victimized by statutory rape.

Allen County Right to Life, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, filed complaints today with the Indiana Attorney General’s office and the Indiana Medical Licensing Board over the Fort Wayne abortion doctor failing to properly report an abortion on a 13-year-old as required by state law. The age of the patient surfaced as ACRTL director Cathie Humbarger reviewed publicly-available terminated pregnancy reports from the state health department.

The report shows that a 13-year-old had an abortion performed by Dr. Ulrich Klopfer, of the Fort Wayne Women’s Health Organization abortion facility, on February 7. The Indiana Department of Health reported receiving the report on July 25, not within three days of the abortion procedure as specified by law.

According to Indiana abortion law, a physician performing an abortion on a patient less than 14 years of age must file a state-issued form within three days of the abortion with the state department of health and the department of child services. Indiana law specifies that failure to report is punishable with a Class B misdemeanor.

Humbarger told LifeNews today that her group filed complaints along with sidewalk counselor Evelyn Witte.

“It’s heartbreaking to learn that a 13-year-old became pregnant and now must live with the pain of an abortion for the rest of her life, but it’s doubly-heartbreaking that Dr. Klopfer’s failure to report the abortion may have allowed the girl’s molester to walk free,” she said.

Millions Visit Family Graves Yearly, 2,300 Visit Gravesites of Babies Abortion Kills

Millions Visit Family Graves Yearly, 2,300 Visit Gravesites of Babies Abortion Kills

by John Jansen | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com | 9/17/13 5:39 PM

On Saturday, September 14, thousands of pro-lifers gathered at over 100 gravesites of aborted babies and other memorials to the unborn located nationwide to observe the first annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children.

National Day of Remembrance in four cities

With attendance figures still being tallied, the current total stands at over 2,300 attendees nationwide.

The date of September 14, 2013, was chosen for this event because it marks the 25th anniversary of the burial of several hundred abortion victims at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where a crowd of 300 mourners attended a memorial service this past Saturday. Among the speakers at this service were Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz, bishop emeritus of the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln (Nebraska), and Bishop Donald Hying, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.

Several other Catholic bishops took part in memorial services held within their dioceses, including Cardinal Francis George, the Archbishop of Chicago, who spoke at a service held at the gravesite of 2,033 aborted babies buried at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois, and Bishop Earl Boyea of the Diocese of Lansing, who spoke at a service at the gravesite of 17 aborted babies at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Lansing, Michigan.

Reactions from attendees at memorial services across the country were overwhelmingly positive, with many reporting that they were moved to tears.

Renewed Priests for Life Pro-Life Training Announced

Renewed Priests for Life Pro-Life Training Announced
Presentations include Archdiocese of Chicago, EWTN, and the Vatican

This week and next, Priests for Life is announcing new efforts in the pro-life education of the clergy and laity. Building on the work of the last two decades, Priests for Life will present renewed initiatives to train people how to live out their commitment to protecting human life. “The pro-life effort is not simply a cause, a movement, or a political position,” explained Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life. “All that has its place. But pro-life is, at its core, a spirituality. The Gospels and the teachings of the Church not only teach us why we are pro-life; they teach us how to live it. There are specific virtues we need, and these virtues shape pro-life activity and strategy.”

Priests for Life just produced new programs for EWTN which reflect this spirituality, and this week Fr. Frank will present it, at the invitation of the Vatican, to a conference of jurists sponsored by the Pontifical Council for the Family.  Then, at the end of the week, Fr. Frank will again present this approach in Chicago.

The Archdiocese of Chicago’s Respect Life Office, with the blessing of His Eminence Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I., has invited Fr. Frank to lead a special leadership retreat for Parish Respect Life Coordinators to help them spiritually and mentally prepare for Respect Life Month and another great year of pro-life parish ministry.

“Several years ago, I went to a pro-life retreat that was led by Fr. Frank, and since then, I have wanted to provide this type of experience to all of our Parish Respect Life Coordinators” said Margie Breen, Director of the Respect Life Office of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

“I first came to know of Fr. Frank Pavone and Priests for Life from Father’s appearances on several different EWTN shows.  First, it was Father asking people to view the horrible abortion pictures on his Priests for Life website that got me involved in the pro-life movement.  Second, I credit Father for my full time pro-life ministry.  It was during one of his EWTN homilies that he asked people to leave their current full time work and find ways to work full time in the pro-life movement.  I stepped out in faith, and God opened the doors to my current ministry as Respect Life Office Director.  The road hasn’t been easy, but it never is when you are working to fight one of the worst injustices of our time.  I am grateful to Father Frank and Priests for Life for their important ministry!,” Margie concluded.

Fr. Frank explained, “This retreat will be designed to impart the pro-life spirituality on which we have trained activists around the world for years. It is a spirituality based on the teaching, life and example of three pro-life icons whom I was privileged to know personally and who shaped profoundly my own vocation to pro-life activism: Blessed John Paul II, Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, and Cardinal John O’Connor, who ordained me to the priesthood and gave me permission to devote myself fulltime to the defense of the unborn.”

Fr. Frank added, “From its inception, Priests for Life has had a close and fruitful relationship with the Archdiocese of Chicago. When Cardinal O’Connor released me to be the first full-time director of the organization, Cardinal Bernardin of Chicago permitted Fr. Jim Heyd to be the Associate Director. Cardinal George later permitted Fr. Heyd to work with us full-time. On many occasions over the years, the Archdiocese and its parishes have welcomed Priests for Life. Now, with the exemplary work of Margie Breen, and under the inspiring leadership of Cardinal George, the Archdiocese continues to advance the pro-life cause, and I am honored to assist in that effort.”

25 ways to start ending abortion before Christmas

25 ways to start ending abortion before Christmas

BY LAURA PEREDO

  • Tue Sep 17, 2013 10:12 EST

September 16, 2013 (LiveActionNews) – You’re pro-life. Now tell me; what are you going to do about that before this Christmas?

If not too much comes to mind, never fear. I’ve compiled a list of 25 activities and events you can take part in. You’ve probably heard about some of these before, but if you’re not actively taking part in at least 5 of them, you could be doing more. We could always be doing more.

Some of us have more time than others, and what you’re able to do really depends on where you are in your life. We all have different talents and abilities, so be sure to take some time to consider what yours are as you decide how to become involved in the great civil rights issue of our time.

End taxpayer funded abortion in Obamacare

Susan B.
Anthony List
Dear Pro-life Friend –

We’re coming down to the wire on the largest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade.

The health insurance exchanges created by Obamacare will begin implementation on October 1. These are paid for with our tax dollars and will include plans that cover elective abortions.

But we have an opportunity to prevent this flow of tax dollars to plans that cover abortions before the October 1 deadline: defunding Obamacare in the upcoming Continuing Resolution (CR) by passing the resolution offered by Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA).

Take Immediate Action: Tell your Representative to end taxpayer funding of abortion in Obamacare by supporting the Graves bill, H.J. Res. 62.

The House must send the Senate a CR that completely funds the government – except Obamacare. Recently, House leadership proposed a CR with a detachable provision defunding Obamacare. But the Senate can easily reject the defunding provision while passing a bill that contains funding for the largest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade.

That’s why it’s critical that the House pass the Graves bill to send the Senate a CR that actually defunds Obamacare and stops taxpayer funding for abortion.

Pro-life Friend, we must tell our pro-life Representatives we expect them to stand strong.

Once the health insurance exchanges are implemented, taxpayer dollars will begin subsidizing plans that include elective abortion. The CR is the last piece of must-pass legislation before the October 1 deadline, and must be our stand.

Take Action: Click here to tell Congress to reject any CR using procedural gimmicks that allows the Senate to pass a bill that contains taxpayer funding for abortion.

Pro-life Friend, the SBA List was on the front lines fighting taxpayer funding of abortion during the Obamacare fight in 2009 and 2010. Now is the last chance to stop massive taxpayer funding of abortion in through the exchanges before it happens.

If the House passes a CR without funding Obamacare, President Obama and Harry Reid would then have to pass the House CR or otherwise risk shutting down the government.

The deadline is October 1. The time to act is now. Pro-life stalwarts Sen. Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, and Mike Lee are fighting to stop taxpayer funding of abortion by defunding Obamacare in the CR.

Will you join them?

For Life,

Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave
Vice President for Government Affairs
Susan B. Anthony List

P.S. The health insurance exchanges created by Obamacare – and paid for with our tax dollars – begin implementation on October 1 and will include plans that cover elective abortions. Click here to tell your Representative to end taxpayer funding of abortion by supporting the legislation introduced by Rep. Tom Graves, and opposing any CR that pretends to defund Obamacare using procedural gimmicks. This is the last chance to stop this taxpayer funding of abortion before the exchanges go into effect.

“Pro-Choice” Woman Angry about not being sufficiently warned About Chemical Abortion Dangers and Side Effects

“Pro-Choice” Woman Angry about not being sufficiently warned About Chemical Abortion Dangers and Side Effects

By Randall K. O’Bannon, Ph.D., NRL Director of Education & Research

ru_486aThere have been a rash of articles in media of late pushing the line that informed consent laws, laws limiting chemical abortions, and challenges to so-called “web-cam abortions” are totally unnecessary, just pro-life ploys to put more obstacles in the way of women getting the “reproductive health care” they want and need.

They say that chemical abortions are safe, rather simple, sort of like a “heavy period,” that women get all the medical attention they need, that they are glad to be able to abort in the privacy of their own homes.

Try telling that to “Kay,” a married, “pro-choice” doctoral student in her late twenties who went through a horrific chemical abortion earlier this year courtesy of her area Planned Parenthood.

Kay’s story is featured on abortionpillrisks.org, the website founded and maintained by Monty Patterson. Since losing his daughter Holly to an infection connected with her chemical abortion in 2003, Mr. Patterson has devoted much of the last ten years to collecting and publicizing medical data and personal stories about RU-486 abortions

Straight from the mouths of abortion workers: ClinicQuotes.com shares the truth

Straight from the mouths of abortion workers: ClinicQuotes.com shares the truth

By Nancy Flanders

unbornbaby67It isn’t easy to hear the words day in and day out, or to see over and over the tiny bodies ripped apart or burned to death. It’s gut wrenching. It’s heartbreaking. And for Sarah Terzo of ClinicQuotes.com, it’s part of her life’s mission to expose the truth of abortion from the mouths of those who kill for a living.

As a young teenager, Terzo saw a picture of a child who had been aborted at eight weeks gestation. It had been ripped to pieces and Terzo instantly realized that this was a child who had been killed. The photo roused within her a deep desire to do whatever she could to protect babies from abortion. But after a disappointing high school debate with a pro-choice student, Terzo felt she wasn’t as knowledgeable as she needed to be in order to defend her pro-life stance. Immediately, she began researching in order to prepare for future conversations about abortion.

“This was before the internet,” explains Terzo, “but I started sending away for literature from every pro-life group I could find, going from library to library to get out pro-life books, and looking at old magazines and newspapers, then on microfilm, to learn as much as I could. Everything I learned made me even more determined to fight abortion.[…] The material I found most compelling was the first hand quotes and accounts by abortion providers themselves. I started a project to compile as many of these testimonies as I could and went looking in all kinds of obscure places for them.”

By the time the internet became widely available, Terzo was in college and had amassed a large list of abortion quotes by different abortion providers. She wanted to put this list on the web, but there was no such thing as WordPress or Blogger at the time. Terzo taught herself to build a website from scratch. Her hope was that pro-life individuals would go to the site and use the information she had compiled in their own articles, debates, speeches, and letters to the editor. She also hoped that pro-choicers would read the quotes and change their stance on abortion. And eventually, with the help of fellow pro-life activist Andrew Anderson, Terzo was able to build her blog, now ten times larger than the site she originally built.
