President Trump continues to deliver on his pro-life commitments.

Just days into his presidency, President Trump reinstated the Mexico City Policy and directed the Secretary of State to modernize the policy.

And just yesterday the President ordered an expansion of the Mexico City Policy, which is now known as the “Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance” policy.

Our team was quick to respond to this great news and we were quoted in several articles including pieces at The Washington Examiner, Fox News, The Daily Mail, and more.

So what does this modernized policy mean?

In the past, the Mexico City Policy stopped tax dollars allocated for family planning funding from going to non-government organizations that commit or promote abortion.

But the new and improved policy applies not only to family planning funding, but to ALL foreign global health assistance.

So instead of applying to roughly $500-$600 million in U.S. taxpayer dollars, the policy now protects approximately $8.8 billion of our tax dollars from going to foreign non-governmental organizations that commit or promote abortion.

With this modernized policy, we have officially ceased exporting abortion to foreign nations by funding abortionists.

No longer will we undermine the pro-life laws and cultural commitments of other countries by funding organizations like Marie Stopes International which obsessively promotes and commits abortions.

Countless lives will be saved because of the Trump Administration’s pro-life action yesterday!

We’re so thankful to President Trump for taking this bold pro-life action that will stop our nation from exporting abortion to other countries!
