A new undercover video shows how a late-term abortion practitioner abandons women during the multi-day abortion process and leaves them alone in hotel rooms to deliver babies, telling them to “just sit on the toilet.”

Hundreds of pro-life advocates gathered inside the Texas state capitol today to show their support for bills that have been filed that would ban late-term abortion and hold abortion clinics accountable for putting women’s health at risk.

Indian Study: Abortion Increases Breast Cancer Risk Six-Fold

The Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer reports on a study published in the Indian Journal of Community Medicine (May, 2013) whose authors found a 6.38-fold greater risk of breast cancer among women with histories of induced abortion.

Ohio Gov. Kasich Approves Multiple Pro-life Amendments

Since 1776, approximately 1.3 million of our American military have lost their lives defending human rights and freedoms in wars and conflicts including the Civil War, the world wars, Vietnam, Iraq and the war on terror. We’ve made serious mistakes–slavery, civil discrimination and more–which we’ve corrected. However, on our way “to form a more perfect union” as stated in the preamble to the Constitution, we’ve thrown away the right to life through the legalization of abortion. The tragic loss of 1.3 million military lives over 237 years pales in comparison to the almost 56 million innocent human lives killed in only 40 years through abortion.

What’s even worse is that those who support abortion say that they are defending  women’s health! Pregnancy is not a disease, and very few abortions are done to save a women’s life. Abortion is NOT health care no matter how much you try to rationalize it. It is a tragic loss of an innocent life for the “convenience” of the mother which no reason can justify.

On this 4th of July, we pray that our country’s history will be remembered by those who rationalize the destruction of innocent human lives, and that our courts and  our legislators will recognize that our founding documents guarantee the rights  of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness not just for some, but for all.

The Supreme Court did overturn the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act passed by congress and signed into law by President Clinton which defined for federal purposes that marriage was only between one man and one woman. It would take be too long to dissect that decision here.

But the larger issue here is, again, where this all is headed. The political and social agenda of the GLBT movement is now starting to collide with the freedom of religion guaranteed all Americans in the US Constitution. Here are a couple of recent examples of this:

• In 2013 in Colorado, two men recently married in Massachusetts filed a discrimination complaint against a Colorado bakery – Masterpiece Cakeshop – that refused to make them a wedding cake for their reception. The owner of the bakery cited his Christian beliefs when he refused the couple’s business. The Colorado Attorney General’s office filed a formal complaint on behalf of the couple.
• In 2013 in the state of Washington, state Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced a lawsuit against an eastern Washington florist who refused to provide flowers for a same-sex marriage ceremony.

In response to the lawsuit in Washington, the owner of Arlene’s Flowers posted this on her Facebook page: “I could not [provide the flowers] because of my relationship with Jesus.” She added: “I have hired all walks of people in different circumstances, and had the privilege of working with some very talented people that happen to be gay. I’m sure there are many places you can purchase flowers, if you choose not to purchase them from Arlene’s, because of your beliefs, then I certainly understand.”

Using the power of the government to force private business owners to violate their religious convictions is just a step away from the government telling churches who they can and can’t marry and what they can and cannot teach.
