2013-07_LT-PrayerSunscreen

As I was applying sunscreen recently, it occurred to me that sunscreen and prayer share a lot of similarities.
Some people claim that they never tan, only burn. But just because you don’t look like a lobster doesn’t mean your skin cells can’t turn cancerous later. At the very least you’ll reach middle age and discover your skin has the consistency of leather. Sometimes we don’t think we need to pray either, because we don’t “feel” like we need God. But the truth is that we always need God. If we don’t pray regularly to build a relationship with Him then when hard times come and we finally feel like we need Him, it’s difficult to listen to His voice since we’re so out of practice. Regular prayer is a necessity. Read more […]

Science for Unborn Human Life

Use of this Study

Although this study is copyrighted, all or part of it can be used without my permission or attribution for educating people about the development of unborn human life. The report is free, although in some cases it might be necessary to charge only for the cost of hard copy distribution. I did not undertake it to make a profit. I encourage pro-life speakers, counselors, legislators and writers to abstract parts of the report as background information as they see fit. I particularly encourage pro-choice people to carefully consider this information with an open mind.

I hope the material contributes to a respectful discourse about abortion. I encourage readers to copy and distribute it as hard copy or distribute it via e-mail to persons and organizations that are interested in the human life issue.

I hope Science Sheds Light on Unborn Human Life contributes to an emerging national consensus that the unborn child is indeed a human being, and deserves to be loved, protected, and cherished.

Federal Government Gives Grant STD Vaccines

Federal government gives Univ. of Calif. $500K grant to promote STD vaccines to parents of teen girl

Kirsten Andersen Fri Jul 26 20:51 EST Bioethics

The U.S. government may be trillions of dollars in debt, but it recently found $544,188 to give to a University of California researcher for a promotional campaign, disguised as a study, aimed at increasing the use of the controversial Gardasil vaccine by lower-income teens.

Gardasil is a vaccine to prevent Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), thought to be the most common sexually transmitted infection in the world. HPV is known to cause multiple types of cancers, including cervical, anal, penile, and throat cancer. Because of this link, Gardasil is often referred to as the “cervical cancer vaccine,’” but it does not prevent cancer cells from forming in the body. Instead, the vaccine prevents the four most common strains of HPV, out of an estimated 150 strains.

In part because the vaccine has been linked to dangerous and sometimes fatal reactions in young girls, sales have declined steadily since its introduction in 2006, despite the fact that thanks to an aggressive behind-the-scenes lobbying campaign by vaccine manufacturer Merck, many states now require the vaccination before entering secondary school.

According to government statistics, Gardasil had been linked to 49 sudden deaths, 213 permanent disabilities, 137 reports of cervical dysplasia, 41 reports of cervical cancer, and thousands of adverse events reports

ABORTION EXPOSED

Abortion Exposed!

These photos of aborted babies are some of the most disturbing and poignant images of the abortion holocaust in America.  Some are indeed the most spectacular photos of aborted babies ever taken that chronicle the truth of the violence and injustice of abortion.  This website is dedicated to these victims. May their images reveal the truth and save other unborn children from similar, horrible rejection.

Study Links Abortion With Depression, PTSD, and Drug Abuse

A new study from the psychiatric journal “Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences” recently published a study linking abortion with depression and anxiety disorders including post-traumatic stress disorder.

The study compared the women’s psychological well being with childbirth outcomes such as delivering the baby, miscarriage, or abortion. The conclusion of the authors is that “fetal loss seems to expose women to a higher risk for mental disorders than childbirth; some studies show that abortion can be considered a more relevant risk factor than miscarriage”.

Poll: 50 percent of all Catholics support abortion in ‘all or most cases’

Poll: 50 percent of all Catholics support abortion in ‘all or most cases’

BY JOHANNA DASTEEL

Thu Jul 25, 2013 19:46 EST

Fifty percent of Catholics said they believed abortion should be legal in all or most circumstances, while 45 percent say it should be illegal in the same circumstances. That was only moderately more pro-life than the American public as a whole, which favored abortion 55-41.

The Washington Post-ABC poll’s results are more noteworthy, as Democrats outnumbered Republicans in the poll by a wide margin; 31 percent of respondents identified with the Democratic Party, while only 21 percent said they were Republicans.

LET YOUR BODY SPEAK LANGUAGE OF LOVE

Let your body speak a language of love, not lies

In The Theology of the Body, Blessed Pope John Paul II says, “The body speaks a language of love.” In 1984, he wrote “…the most profound words of the spirit—words of love, of giving, of fidelity—demand an adequate language of the body. Without that they cannot be expressed.” This means that unless our words match our actions, love cannot be expressed. We must say what we mean and mean what we say.

My heart broke. I had sold out! That was the moment I realized my body was speaking a language about me that I did not intend.
