Amanda Marcotte: Babies are Time-Sucking Monsters, Abortion Like Removing a Cavity

Amanda Marcotte: Babies are time-sucking monsters, abortion like removing a cavity

AmandaMarcotte1

Amanda Marcotte

Most abortion advocates are careful to act as if they’re not really fans of abortion. No one likes abortion, they’ll say. It’s a necessary decision that is painful for most women and they always think long and hard about it, and it isn’t a choice that is made cavalierly. No one wants to have an abortion, they’ll say. It’s only about “choice”.

Unfortunately, sometimes they let the mask slip and expose their rabid fanaticism for abortion show. The most recent person to do this is pro-abortion femisogynist extremist Amanda Marcotte in a two-part rant on Raw Story.

The first post shows a picture of a happy, smiling pregnant woman with the caption, This is what my version of hell looks like. She then goes on to talk about how only abortion activists can debate while thinking freely. (Caution for language — this is Amanda Marcotte, after all.)

[I]f wasting time typing that shit out amuses you, knock yourself out. But don’t pretend that you’re advancing the cause of free thought while doing so. That’s because rational, free discourse is predicated on the understanding that everyone involved in the debate is arguing in good faith, and I can assure you, after years of dealing with this issue, that anti-choicers are not arguing in good faith.

The real money quote comes later, though.

Well, let me just put a stop to this shit right now. You can give me gold-plated day care and an awesome public school right on the street corner and start paying me 15% more at work, and I still do not want a baby. I don’t particularly like babies. They are loud and smelly and, above all other things, demanding. No matter how much free day care you throw at women, babies are still time-sucking monsters with their constant neediness. No matter how flexible you make my work schedule, my entire life would be overturned by a baby. I like my life how it is, with my ability to do what I want when I want without having to arrange for a babysitter. I like being able to watch True Detective right now and not wait until baby is in bed. I like sex in any room of the house I please. I don’t want a baby. I’ve heard your pro-baby arguments. Glad those work for you, but they are unconvincing to me. Nothing will make me want a baby.

And don’t float “adoption” as an answer. Adoption? Fuck you, seriously. I am not turning my body over for nine months of gaining weight and puking and being tired and suffering and not being able to sleep on my side and going to the hospital for a bout of misery and pain so that some couple I don’t know and probably don’t even like can have a baby. I don’t owe that couple a free couch to sleep on while they come to my city to check out the local orphans, so I sure as shit don’t own them my body. I like drinking alcohol and eating soft cheese. I like not having a giant growth protruding out of my stomach. I hate hospitals and like not having stretch marks. We don’t even force men to donate sperm—a largely pleasurable activity with no physical cost—so forcing women to donate babies is reprehensible.

This is why, if my birth control fails, I am totally having an abortion. Given the choice between living my life how I please and having my body within my control and the fate of a lentil-sized, brainless embryo that has half a chance of dying on its own anyway, I choose me. Here’s another uncomfortable fact for anti-choicers: Just because a woman does want children doesn’t mean she wants them now. Maybe she’s still got some fun-having to do. Or maybe she has a couple already and, already well-educated about the smelly neediness of babies, feels done with having them. Either way, what she wants trumps the non-existent desires of a mindless pre-person that is so small it can be removed in about two minutes during an outpatient procedure. Your cavities fight harder to stay in place.

She acknowledges that most normal people probably recoiled reading that, and she would be right. And here’s why: the truth is, most people don’t care if you don’t want a baby. No one really cares what you do with your life, Amanda, shocking as that may be. The thing is, just because you don’t want a baby doesn’t mean that you should have the ability to take a child’s life. And while she sneers about how much she hates babies, most people want and love children. Probably has something to do with not being narcissistic, self-absorbed pro-abortion extremists. You know, or something like that.

What’s interesting is how she acts as if floating the idea of adoption for those facing unplanned pregnancies is somehow forcing them into it. No, Amanda. It’s called having sex. You choose to have sex, you choose to open the door to having a baby, no matter what kind of birth control you’re on. Every time a person has sex, there is a possibility that they will get pregnant, barring a full hysterectomy. She compares it to forcing men to donate sperm, surely what she feels is a no-fail argument against “the patriarchy.” The problem with that is that no one made it to where women are the ones who carry babies. It wasn’t something that men engineered. It’s called science, Amanda. It’s just the way it is, fair or unfair. Acknowledge reality and move on.

And comparing abortion to having a cavity removed? That’s rich. Most patients who get cavities removed don’t end up with a litany of potential future health problems and psychological trauma. It isn’t a difficult, emotionally charged decision to have a cavity removed. Oh, yeah, and removing a cavity? It isn’t taking a life.

Her follow-up post basically retreads a tired and incredibly false argument:

Frankly, the more traditional, conservative argument against abortion—no, they’re not going to lift a finger to help you with your unwanted baby and you should have thought about that before fucking, you stupid slut who deserves to suffer—at least has the refreshing scent of honesty to it.

This is, of course, patently false. Catholic Charities, for example, has many programs designed to help pregnant women, and not just through their pregnancy. Giving them cribs and baby clothes and helping them get connected with their local resources and social services isn’t just beneficial just during pregnancy, after all. Crisis pregnancy centers also often have similar programs, but people like Amanda Marcotte will never acknowledge them. They’d rather tell scared pregnant women that there is nothing and no one out there to help — they’re more likely to get an abortion that way.

Of course, none of this is unusual for Amanda Marcotte. She’s called babies human waste before, as an example. And it’s illuminating, really. In order to win this war, we have to know who we’re fighting. And Amanda Marcotte shows that. While it’s easy to get outraged and angry about the vile she spews, don’t be. Pity her, or pray for her. It must be hard to live each day filled with so much anger, hatred, and misery.

ORTL Board Member Responds to Akron Beacon Journal

Recently, the Akron Beacon Journal ran an editorial blasting the Ohio Right to Life PAC for its endorsement of Caleb Davenport over Frank LaRose. ORTL Board Member Carrie Snyder graciously responded with a savvy letter to the editor, which ran today. Please find the text below, or click the image on the right to read the letter.

We strongly recommend chapters to forward this must-read letter to their email lists and to use its information to respond to questions about the endorsement.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

All the best,

As a member of the board of trustees for the Ohio Right to Life Society and a pro-life voter in the 27th Ohio Senate District, I felt compelled to respond to the March 16 editorial “Looks personal.”

Absent the facts, I can understand how Ohio Right to Life’s collective decision to not endorse state Sen. Frank LaRose’s re-election caught some by surprise. In the editorial questioning our decision, the newspaper lauded LaRose for taking strong positions on online voter registration, redistricting reform, workplace equality and oil and gas regulation.

If Ohio Right to Life based its candidate endorsements on those issues, LaRose would have a strong case for support. However, we base our decisions on a candidate’s actions and stated commitment in defense of innocent human life.

LaRose’s positions on the sanctity of human life, as evidenced by his written responses to the Ohio Right to Life PAC candidate questionnaire, are less than stellar. On many core pro-life issues, LaRose and Ohio Right to Life simply disagree.

In fact, LaRose’s response to our candidate questionnaire ranked among the lowest of any legislator who sought Ohio Right of Life’s endorsement. This is why we unanimously voted not to endorse him.

LaRose should not be surprised when organizations he does not support do not endorse him.

Four Years Ago Today “Pro-Life” Representatives Betrayed Their Principles

Susan B. Anthony List

Hi Pro-life Friend —

Four years ago today, then-Rep. Bart Stupak and 19 so-called “pro-life” Representatives betrayed their principles and their constituents by voting for Obamacare, the largest expansion of abortion since Roe v. Wade.

From the start, your SBA List has been leading the charge to protect unborn babies from Obamacare’s abortion funding. In the 2010 elections, we replaced 15 of the 20 sell-outs with strong pro-life Representatives.

Make no mistake: We won’t stop fighting until abortion-promoting Obamacare is fully repealed and all taxpayer funding for abortion ended.

Pro-life Friend, I know it’s been a long fight. It feels just like yesterday that we started exposing Obamacare for its radical abortion-promotion. But we must not stop. There are simply too many lives on the line.

Charlotte Lozier Institute research has shown how Obamacare funds abortions, and how it is nearly impossible for someone who’s pro-life to determine which plans on the exchanges do and do not cover elective abortion.

And next week, the Supreme Court is hearing the case for Hobby Lobby and Conestoga Wood, who have refused to violate their conscience and religious convictions by complying with Obamacare’s HHS mandate.

I can ensure you that we are fighting this on all fronts: politically, legislatively, and in the courts. Will you join the effort?

Once you’ve taken action, don’t forget to forward this message to your pro-life contacts, family, and friends so they, too, join the activism on this critical day.

For Life,

Marjorie Dannenfelser
President, Susan B. Anthony List

UK Bishop Davies: Catholics oppose same-sex ‘marriage’ out of Love

UK Bishop Davies: Catholics oppose same-sex ‘marriage’ out of love

by John-Henry Westen

  • Wed Mar 19, 2014 15:24 EST

SHREWSBURY, England, March 19, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – In an interview touching on life, family, faith, and culture, Shrewsbury Bishop Mark Davies told LifeSiteNews.com that despite perceptions of hate and prejudice, the real reason why Christians oppose same-sex “marriage” is out of love.

“It is often said that there is a prejudicial hate, a sense of discrimination [that] lies behind the teachings of the Church and the Christian understanding of marriage,” he said. On the contrary, “what we need to always emphasize is that what lies behind this is love – a genuine love for every person. That love very much extends, by the Church, to those who experience same-sex attraction.”

With same-sex “marriage” having passed into law last July and come into force in England last week, Bishop Davies said that the battle must continue.  “The essential battle is now for the very foundations of marriage, its identity in the union of man and woman, a lasting union, a union which is open to life and thereby the foundation of the family.”

The Bishop of Shrewsbury acknowledged a “growing intolerance” experienced by Christians in England, but urged the faithful to speak the truth nonetheless. “We need the courage to give witness wherever we are in society and not to be inhibited from speaking that truth, which has to be spoken in love,” he said.

Click “like” if you want to defend true marriage.

His prescriptions for engagement include Pope John Paul II’s famous adage: ‘Do not be afraid.’  “We’ve got to have confidence that the essential goodness, the truth will attract the generations to come,” said Davies. “What we are doing now is not for this time only but for the generations who will follow us.”

“By giving witness to this truth by showing the goodness of the message that we share we are helping to encourage those who will follow us with those same foundations that we have received,” he said.

He added, “Our society, the world of our time, requires this witness from Christians which originally attracted and fascinated people into the Church.”

Asked where Christians are to get the strength to remain steadfast under sometimes severe pressure from society, Bishop Davies replied, “For good reason, a bishop carries a cross.”

“The cross is certainly a sign of sharing the suffering of Christ but it is also the promise of victory,” he said. “And in that fidelity in standing with Christ – those people of conscience and good will –  the cross carries with it the promise of victory as far as we remain with him in truth and in love.”

When Lexi came to my Office she Already had the Abortion…but we Found a Heartbeat!

When Lexi came to my office she already had the abortion…but we found a heartbeat!

by Dr. Matthew Harrison

  • Tags: abortion

March 19, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Lexi was pregnant and felt she had no choice.  She went to the abortion clinic to get “rid of” her 13 week “problem” so that she could get on with her life.  The clinic verified her pregnancy, placed three seaweed sticks in her cervix to dilate her and asked her to return for a surgical abortion because of how far along she was.  Lexi was scared, but did not know what else to do. She was not with her boyfriend anymore and her mother wasn’t going to help her raise a child.  She worked part-time but wanted a better job and better life and, after all, the people in the clinic said it wasn’t a baby yet, just a blob of tissue.

So Lexi didn’t eat the night before her “procedure.”  Her mother took her to the clinic.  As they approached the office, they saw people scattered out on the sidewalk, some holding signs, some praying. Some seemed to be talking to people in the parking lot.  There were security guards barking at the ones on the street and they waved Lexi in.  They parked and as they walked toward the clinic, the families on the street were calling out not to go in; that they would help them.  The sidewalk counselors were saying that the clinic had a bad record and had been shut down in the past for health violations.  The pro-lifers seemed desperate and Lexi couldn’t understand why.  Wasn’t this just a blob of tissue? She and her mother scurried into the clinic.

Lexi was separated from her mother and taken to a back room, where she was given a gown and some medicine.  She was laid out on a table, with her feet up, and then she faded off to sleep. When she awoke, she was sore and felt like she had been gutted.  She was still cramping and bleeding, but was told this would be gone within a few days.  She had a drink and snack and then left the clinic with her mother.  There were only a couple people left on the sidewalk, and they offered a pamphlet and a prayer as she drove by them.  The ladies seemed to have such a defeated look in their eyes.

Lexi went back to her life after a few days, her part-time job and hanging out with friends.  Days became weeks and Lexi kept waiting to lose that bloated pregnant feeling, but it didn’t go away.  One morning she awoke feeling sick to her stomach.  She started to have some cramps and they got so intense she had to go to the emergency room.  The doctor there did an ultrasound of her stomach and asked her when she had her abortion.  Lexi told him it was about six weeks ago.  Lexi was stunned when the doctor said that not only was her baby still there, but that he looked about 19 weeks and perfectly healthy!  Lexi was shocked!  And the doctor said it was a “he!”

We found the baby’s heartbeat and Lexi smiled. She was going to keep this baby, but she just needed a little help and encouragement.

Lexi left the ER with a prescription for prenatal vitamins, still in a daze about her dilemma.  Now what?  Had she dreamed that entire abortion?  Didn’t she pay them $450?

Monday came and Lexi knew she had to get to the bottom of this.  She went back to the abortion clinic, past the little children playing on the sidewalk, and asked the employees what had happened.  The staff there seemed surprised, but told her they would be glad to terminate for another $1250. Something just didn’t seem right to Lexi now.  The staff explained that she must have had twins and that they had to have missed this one when she had her abortion six weeks ago.  Lexi left the clinic as confused as when she had gone in.

As she was about to get into the car, she figured, why not talk to these folks that say they can help her? After all, she had nothing to lose. So, she approached one of the counselors and they asked how they could help. It seemed like they were offering everything! Prayer, baby showers, even medical care. So Lexi took their pamphlets and went home.

She wondered why and how her baby had survived. So she called the lady she met on the sidewalk and got the number of my office. Lexi showed up a few days later pretty scared and confused, but she knew that abortion clinic was not there to help her and she didn’t trust them anymore. We found the baby’s heartbeat and Lexi smiled. She was going to keep this baby, but she just needed a little help and encouragement.

Lexi started her prenatal care at about 20 weeks and had an uneventful remaining pregnancy. She even got a baby shower from the friends she met on the sidewalk! She was a beautiful glowing mother, excited to meet this son that seemed destined to survive even after a direct murderous assault of suction and steel. At 40 weeks and a few days, she delivered a beautiful healthy son, Adam.  There were tears in the delivery room from Lexi, her nurses, and her doctor.

Our God is a God of second chances and miraculous deliveries from certain disaster. Thanks be to God!

Discovering Pro-Life Truths in the New “Son of God” Movie

Discovering Pro-Life Truths in the New “Son of God” Movie

By Maria Gallagher, Legislative Director, Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation

SonofGodmovieA couple of things struck me as I watched “Son of God,” the movie of Jesus’ life produced by “Touched by an Angel’s” Roma Downey and mega-hit TV producer Mark Burnett of “Survivor” fame.

The first thing that made me pause was when Pontius Pilate asked, “What is truth?” My mind turned to those who are non-committal when it comes to the point at which human life begins.

At one point in my life, I was in that category. I could understand a being of three months’ gestation being called a baby, but before that, I wasn’t so sure. It took a radio news editor to get me back on track, saying that life began at conception. It seemed an inconvenient truth to me but, in the end, logic demanded that I accept it. The beginning doesn’t start with the heart beat or the brain wave—it begins with the union of sperm and egg. Any other proposed starting point would be entirely arbitrary and, well, untrue.

Another particularly poignant point in the film was when Jesus asked the Father to forgive those who put him to death because they know not what they do. I have known so many, many people who did not understand the cruelty of abortion, who did not know relevant facts about fetal development, who really did not fully comprehend what they were doing when they were advocating for abortion or procuring one.

That is why pro-life education is so vitally important—for opening the eyes of women and men alike to the horror of abortion. Whether the education comes in the form of a fetal model, a 4D ultrasound image, or a full description of a dismemberment abortion, it is critical for persuading the public that abortion is, in truth, the taking of an innocent human life. So too, post-abortive women need to be encouraged and supported when giving their gut-wrenching testimonies about the devastating impact abortion has had on their lives. It can be frustrating to think that, after more than four decades of legalized abortion, we still need to share some basic truths, but that is, in fact, the case.

We also need to empower those who believe that abortion is bad for women, but who are not quite brave enough or motivated enough to work for its end. If we are not speaking out about the world of hurt that abortion causes…if we are not educating our children about it, writing letters to the editor, contacting public officials…we are passive bystanders to the greatest human rights violation of our day.

For, in truth, each child who has been conceived is a son or daughter of God, of infinite value and undeniable dignity, who should be protected both in the womb and beyond.

Lessons learned from “Ocean’s Eleven”!

March 16, 2014
Dear Friend,

If you’re reading this because you thought I’d be talking about the movie starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney, then I’m sorry to disappoint you! I recently returned with my husband from our “trip of a lifetime”….an 11 day cruise to five different countries, preceded by 4 days in Rome. We saw and experienced so much during this trip that I’m totally overwhelmed every time I start thinking about it! I’ve always considered myself fortunate to be an American, and we are the proud parents of two Air Force veterans. However, my 11 days on the ocean taught me some valuable lessons about life as we know it here.

In Italy, we visited Rome, Pisa, Florence, Naples, Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and the islands of Sardinia and Sicily. In France we went to Toulon, Aix En Provence and Marseilles. We went to the cities of Barcelona and Valencia in Spain, and to Monte Carlo in Monaco. In northern Africa, we went to Tunisia and toured Tunis, Carthage and Sidi Bou Said. Like the United States, almost everywhere we went was very multi-cultural, and all of the countries have residents with roots in many countries and religions. In Italy, France and Spain especially, it seemed like there were Catholic churches everywhere. It wasn’t uncommon to see Christian icons and statues on street corners, or to hear of patriotic celebrations rooted in Christian tradition. In Africa, the Islamic mosques were predominant, and the call to prayer was heard throughout the cities on loudspeakers.

What struck me as so different from being at home is that the religious monuments of any faith weren’t defaced or forced to be removed. Walking past a statue of the Blessed Mother or one of myriads of saints in Italy and Spain didn’t force someone to “endure” Christianity to be patriotic, just as listening to the Islamic call to prayer didn’t force me to become Muslim. Even Tunisia is a country where religion and government are separate even though the majority of residents practice Islam. I love our country, but it was so painfully clear to me that our freedom which we so highly value has been abused by those who wrongfully interpret our constitution and place a detrimental connotation on belief in God.

There are some things I experienced though, that echo things we experience at home that just seem to defy logic. We passed by a cemetery in Carthage, Tunisia called a “tophet.” Our guide told us it was a sad reminder of a time long ago when people sacrificed and cremated newborn infants as offerings for prosperity or other wishes. The tophets stand as a reminder today to what was done wrong in the past.   It wasn’t even 5 minutes after we passed this memorial that our guide was extolling how modern and cosmopolitan the country has become in ridding itself of ancient practices…..he said that they were so modern that now they even have made abortion legal!   I was stunned by what he said, knowing that the innocent aborted children will not have even a tophet to honor their lost lives.

There’s no place like home, and I’m glad to be back. However, I’m resolved now more than ever to keep on defending the right to life and freedom based on the Christian principles on which our country was founded. There’s much to be done, and no time to be wasted as our work goes on.

MEET THE KARDIAC KIDS!!!

Right to Life of Northeast Ohio is proud to present former Cleveland Browns “Kardiac Kids” Coach Sam Rutigliano, #34 Greg Pruitt and #12 Don Cockroft as our keynote speakers at our annual Education and Appreciation Dinner on April 12 at St George Family Center in Akron. You will laugh, cry and be fascinated as they share stories about life that transcend the game of football. Their emphasis is on faith and family as well as football, and the significance of having someone believe in you, a fact that is so relevant as we work to build a culture of life.

DON’T MISS THIS EXCITING EVENT!

Click Here for reservations or more information!

A facility that promotes or performs abortions is the LAST place at which we should have to take a stand.   We SHOULD be doing such a good job at educating our youth and the public about life that their would be no need for anyone to even consider having an abortion.  Sadly, this is not the case.

Right to Life of Northeast Ohio is beefing up our Clouds of Witnesses program in order to get churches, schools, groups and individuals to adopt time slots to stand witness outside of all abortion facilities and Planned Parenthood so that there will be someone standing for life almost every day year round.  We pledge to work with new coordinators for 40 Days for Life so that the campaign won’t have to worry about witnesses….we will already be there!

If you have not signed up through your church or organization to adopt an hour or more to witness at a facility, give us a call, or check out more about the program and download forms, etc., by CLICKING HERE.

The HHS Mandate in the Supreme Court

On March 25, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear arguments in Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby and Conestoga Wood Specialties v. Sebelius — the first two cases on the HHS Mandate to reach the high court.

The HHS Mandate is one of the most controversial parts of Obamacare. It forces employers to provide FREE abortion inducing drugs in their health plans — without ANY regard to religious or moral objections.   The Green family, owners of Hobby Lobby, and the Hahn family, owners of Conestoga, are standing for ALL of us who cherish religious freedom by challenging the HHS Mandate in court.

How can you help?

  • Spread the word about these important cases and the religious freedom issues involved through every channel: email, Facebook, Twitter and your personal blog or other website.
  • Keep the Green and Hahn families, all their attorneys and the Supreme Court justices hearing their cases in your prayers over the coming days before the oral arguments.
  • If you will be in the Washington DC area, attend a prayer vigil and rally at the Supreme Court on March 25 from 9:30-11:30am . If you can’t be there yourself, let all your friends and family in the D.C. know about it.   Planned Parenthood is planning their own rally there that day, so spread the word so we can outnumber them!

A good ruling in these two cases would mean the END of the HHS Mandate and a HUGE victory for religious freedom!   Thank you to our friends at Pro Life Action League for keeping us updated!

“A just laicism allows religious freedom.  The state does not impose religion but rather gives space to religions with a responsibility toward civil society, and therefore it allows these religions to be factors in building up society.”

Shocking Graph: Planned Parenthood now Performs a Third of all US Abortions

Shocking graph: Planned Parenthood now performs a third of all US abortions

by Jill Stanek

  • Tue Mar 18, 2014 12:58 EST

American Life League’s STOPP reported in February:

Here are some comparative numbers based on the Guttmacher report entitled “Abortion Incidence and Service Availability in the United States, 2011,” and Planned Parenthood’s annual reports, showing Planned Parenthood’s ever-increasing share of the U.S. abortion market:

Planned Parenthood committed 31.6% of abortions nationwide in 2011
Planned Parenthood committed 23.3% of abortions nationwide in 2006
Planned Parenthood committed 16.5% of abortions nationwide in 2001
Planned Parenthood committed 11.3% of abortions nationwide in 1996
Planned Parenthood committed 8.5% of abortions nationwide in 1991
Planned Parenthood committed 6.2% of abortions nationwide in 1986

The graph below shows that Planned Parenthood abortions continue to soar, even as national abortion rates have declined and leveled off.

PP v Nal Abortions_1

See Planned Parenthood’s abortion numbers spike upward from 1970 onward here.

Applying actual numbers of babies murdered at PP to STOPP’s percentages above:

2011: 333,964
2006: 289,750
2001: 213,026
1996: 153,367
1991: 132,314
1981: 79,997

By 2012, Planned Parenthood had killed a total of 6 million babies, a grim milestone.

Interestingly, Planned Parenthood’s escalating numbers come at a cost to mom and pop chop shops. Normally liberals oppose big business. Who can forget their Occupy Wall Street fiasco?

IMG_2802_Aisha_Bouderdaben_1But liberals apparently don’t mind that Planned Parenthood – whose NYC base of operations is ironically not far from Wall Street – is corporate Big Abortion, running smaller private abortion clinics out of business.

An abortionist at one of Planned Parenthood’s smaller competitors compared it not to Wall Street but Wal-Mart. Quoting LiveActionNews.com:

Peter Bours, a physician in Oregon, reports that new Planned Parenthood franchises in his area are making one of his offices financially untenable; whereas he has once provided 100 or more abortions per month in his Portland office, he now performs around 20. Referring to Planned Parenthood as “the Walmart of abortion clinics,” Bours contends that the larger providers offer inferior services….

As Planned Parenthood’s abortion numbers climb, its claim that abortion accounts for only 3% of its business becomes all the more untenable.

Even liberal NPR debunked that lie, correcting that figure upward to 10%, meaning one in 10 of Planned Parenthood’s patients submit to abortions. And as sba-list.org pointed out, 37% of Planned Parenthood’s clinic income comes from abortion.

Dear Friends,

Since 1995, Priests for Life has been producing, and EWTN has been airing, the world’s premiere pro-life television show on abortion. Defending Life, which was born from a conversation I had with Mother Angelica in 1994, is now in its 24th season, and new episodes have just begun airing.

Defending Life has saved countless lives from abortion, changed countless minds and hearts on the issue, and recruited countless activists to the cause. And we’ve only just begun!

Please tune in and spread the word! Thanks for your support!

Ohio Right to Life PAC Endorses Chip Miller For Hamilton County Judge

Hamilton County Judicial Race Significant to the Pro-Life Community

COLUMBUS, Ohio— Today, the Ohio Right to Life PAC endorsed pro-life attorney Charles “Chip” Miller for judge of the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas. Mr. Miller, a partner with KMK Law, has been a friend and advocate to Ohio’s pro-life community.

The Ohio Right to Life PAC does not typically engage in local elections, but this judicial race is of particular importance to the pro-life community at large. Miller is seeking the judgeship currently held by incumbent Judge Jerome Metz. Metz recently allowed Martin Haskell’s abortion clinic in Sharonville to remain open during appeal despite the clinic’s ongoing illegal operation without a transfer agreement.

“We know Mr. Miller and we have found that his regard for innocent life and for the unborn is unquestionable. If you are a pro-life voter in Hamilton County, the choice is crystal clear in this race,” said Kayla Smith, spokesperson for the Ohio Right to Life PAC. “Judge Metz’s recent unfortunate opinion has led to one of the largest abortion mills in Ohio to remain open for business while operating illegally.”

In contrast to Judge Metz’s activism for Haskell’s abortion clinic, Miller served as counsel against Planned Parenthood in 2009 in Roe v. Planned Parenthood. Miller represented parents whose consent to an abortion on a minor was falsified.

“We are proud to endorse Chip Miller for this important seat in Hamilton County,” said Smith. “We know Mr. Miller will stand firmly and uphold Ohio law for the common welfare of Southwestern Ohio’s women and children.”
