Voting is both a right and a duty… and our Church teaches us that it’s one of the most important ways and one of the greatest opportunities to advance the culture of life!
This November the entire House of Representatives and a third of the US Senate – as well as governors and state legislators across the nation … and countless other public officials – will be asking for the votes of Americans, including Catholic Americans.
Rest assured Priests for Life is going all out to fire up American citizens to vote pro-life in 2014.

3) Finally, the Priests for Life staff is putting the finishing touches on our “2014 Political Responsibility Action Plan” which will include:
- A massive voter education effort all across the country
- Nationwide voter registration drives
- The distribution of non-partisan “Voter Guides”
- Publishing a special “Voting With a Clear Conscience” booklet
- Maintaining the “PoliticalResponsibility.com” website
- Giving wide distribution to key Church documents on voting; especially the US Bishops’ Living the Gospel of Life
And come November 2014, conduct “Get Out the Vote” drives

It’s important you do this because a majority of the members of the mainstream news media have a pro-abortion bias. And because they do, they want to represent our pro-life position as one that is unpopular with the public and a liability to the candidates. They routinely twist facts and take quotes out of the context in order to portray our pro-life position in the worst light possible.
All this in an unbridled effort to achieve two objectives:
•To impose silence on anyone who wants to speak out against the injustice of abortion.
•To intimidate pro-life men and women from even running for office.
Your Survey answers are needed to show that it’s okay to be PROUDLY PRO-LIFE! People do not have to run from their pro-life convictions when they run for office.
But in order to do that and counter the pro-abortion drumbeat coming out of most of the major news media outlets, I need your voice.
And that’s exactly what your “National Survey of American Voters” will give me.
Once I have your Survey answers I will tally them with all the others I receive and spread the news far and wide that, just as America is pro-life, so are America’s voters!

We get the public officials we deserve. Their virtue – or lack thereof – is a judgment not only on them, but on us.
That’s a direct quote from their document “Living the Gospel of Life: A Challenge to American Catholics.” And it’s why Archbishop Chaput made the statement that I quoted for you at the top of this email:
“Bishops can’t tell politicians what to do, but Catholic voters can!”
And if ever Catholic and pro-life voters needed to tell our elected leaders what to do, it’s NOW!
The reason why can be summed up in one word: ObamaCare!
As an individual, Obamacare is a direct threat to your First Amendment rights to freedom of religion and freedom of speech. That’s because, as I’ve mentioned to you on many occasions, ObamaCare forces you and all people of good will to violate your sincerely held belief about the sanctity of human life and become a direct participant in the killing of our innocent unborn brothers and sisters.
As a nation, ObamaCare is the greatest expansion of abortion since Roe v Wade!
And this in spite of the fact that a significant majority of Americans OPPOSE both ObamaCare and abortion-on-demand! All the polls show this.
That’s why Priests for Life is actively working to make health care in America ABORTION-FREE!!!
But that won’t happen until American voters elect men and women who respect every citizen’s inalienable RIGHT TO LIFE!
Which is why the 2014 mid-term elections are so important.
The only way we to rid the nation of ObamaCare’s abortion mandates – along with all the other assaults on the innocent child in the womb – is to:
1. Encourage rock-solid pro-life men and women to run for elected office.
2. Get the People of Life actively involved in the election process so that we give our nation leaders – especially in Congress – that will uphold every American citizen’s GOD-GIVEN and FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT TO LIFE!
That’s what it’s going to take to end America’s abortion holocaust.

As I told you, your answers will give public officials and other leaders the assurance they need that the People of Life have their backs. That they can profess their pro-life convictions without fear and without feeling as though they have to apologize for them.
