A Second Toledo Abortion Clinic Could Close Under New Restrictions

Ohio’s latest attempt to curb abortions appears to have had its first casualty. An abortion clinic in Toledo blames the new law for its closure last month. The only other clinic in the Northwest Ohio city could close by the end of this month.

Last month the parking lot at Toledo’s Center for Choice was busy with cars; inside, women talked and waited their turn with the doctor. When we visited a couple weeks ago the parking lot was empty. Inside, Sue Postal, the Center’s former director, took a break from cleaning equipment and packing records.

March On Media!

MARCH ON MEDIA!

Dear Friend,

Last week, we sent letters to the “big three” news distributors – ABC, CBS, and NBC – demanding a better standard in abortion reporting. We’re tired of the mainstream media censoring the facts of the abortion debate and depriving Americans of information.

We provided a petition for you to sign and share. We showcased the Media Research Center’s shocking body of research detailing the lengths to which our media will go to sanitize abortion. We called on ABC, CBS, and NBC to actually be as unbiased as they say they are.

One week later, we have not received a single response.

Well, you didn’t think we would leave it there, did you?

Get out your calendar, because Live Action’s March on the Media is happening in SEVEN DAYS!

At 12:30 on Thursday, August 8, we’ll be gathering in D.C. to tell the media that enough is enough. To get all the details, click here. We’re bringing the message to the media‘s front door, along with all our friends and some long-overdue outrage. And if you’ve had enough of the abortion censorship that’s infected our news distributors, then you’re one of our friends.

We’re also calling for all our friends to participate in a concurrent Twitter Rally  from noon until 1:30 PM.  Join the rally by tweeting to the presidents of ABC, NBC, and CBS with the hashtag #MarchOnMedia.

So get ready for the next step in the pro-life movement: a concentrated demand for truth in reporting. Let’s see the same guys who obsessed over a pro-abortion state senator’s running shoes give the same airtime to the facts of abortion: the gruesome steps of this horrific procedure, the appalling danger it poses to women, and the heartless killing of our nation’s weakest children.

Last week, we sent the media a message in writing. Next week, we’ll be sending it in person. Join us!

Yours in the fight for life,

The Live Action Team

“I AM THE UNBORN…WHATCHA GONNA DO FOR ME”

‘Abortion impedes fetuses!’

‘Abortion impedes fetuses!’: Your hilariously biased mainstream media laugh of the day

BY JOHN JALSEVAC

All par for the course for mainstream media reporting on abortion. So far, so good. But then I hit on a line that was so beyond the pale that it literally made me laugh out loud:

Anti-abortion advocates who protest outside of the clinic argue that there is nothing safe about abortions, and say they are outraged that people like (abortionist) Parker won’t concede the basic biological fact that if the fetus is left unimpeded, a baby will be born.

Outraged, I tell you! Outraged!

Abortion Access In America Demands Special Treatment

Abortion access in America: how the abortion industry demands special treatment

It’s troubling that the abortion industry cries foul repeatedly about abortion access when some Americans have trouble finding access to treat actual diseases. That a journal article would even need to be written about such fringe data is telling of its campaign to increase abortion.

Abortion is not a disease. It’s a choice. It is the only surgery that exists where a random surgeon will perform a life-altering operation on a woman in a non-emergency situation without knowing her, her history, her certainty of the procedure or any other medical background.

Prince Grape True Fairy Dust

Prince Grape and the magical fairy dust

Would Prince Grape have been a non-human if the Duchess of Cambridge had not wanted him?

The fact that the pop-culture media were so charmed by the “Grape” christening reveals the true fairy dust.  It’s not contact with a few vaginal inches. The real fairy dust is being wanted. Because this Royal Heir was so wanted, hoped-for, fawned-over, delighted-in, he was treated in the womb – even when he was as small as a grape – with the same loving protection and attention that he now will have outside it.  Not just his mother, but the whole world thought of him as a person, spoke of him as such, gave him a nickname.  Why?  Because he was wanted.

My So-Called Spontaneous Abortion

My so-called spontaneous abortion

People expect you to get over a miscarriage quickly. After all, it wasn’t a “real” baby. And it’s so common! It happens all the time! I’m sure it’s even worse for post-abortive mothers. I’m sure you’re expected to feel liberated, free as a bird. But some part of them must know what has happened, that there was a death.

It Stretches Our “LIFE” Brand

It Stretches Our “LIFE” Brand

Right to Life supporters,

There has been much in the news lately about 2 RTL groups in Ohio adding marriage between one man and one woman to their mission.

I have been talking to various RTL groups and thinking through this myself and have come to 4 thoughts I would like you to consider.

1 – We are making great strides in the life movement. We are approaching 70% folks who say we should not use tax payer money for abortion, 70% say not in the third trimester, 62% say not in the second trimester and those who oppose abortion outright is climbing each year.

2 – The genderless marriage movement, is unfortunately, trending the other way. Because the media and shows on TV glorify being homosexual and heterosexuals have not done a great job with marriage in the past 35 years, this movement is gaining popularity to the tune of 2-3% per year. I predict in 2 years, there will be a referendum to overturn Ohio’s Constitutional Amendment of traditional marriage, and it likely will win.

3 – We have strong donors and supporters who are split on this issue and may no longer support life if we also are talking genderless marriage. I have a 10 point talking points that I use for genderless marriage, but it’s a much harder sell right now compared to the Life movement.

4 – It waters down our brand. A brand cannot be stretched too far or it becomes meaningless. I’ll give an example….Toyota tried selling a $45,000 car about 20 years ago. It failed miserably because Toyota is thought of as a low to mid brand of car. Not high end. They then developed the brand Lexus, which today, is selling cars in excess of $80,000. They could not ‘stretch’ the Toyota brand to cover the high end segment because consumers felt Toyota was not ‘special’ and people who can afford these high end cars wanted something special. For some folks, cars make a statement about who they are or what they’ve accomplished. If they see someone in a Toyota Corolla at $7,000, it hurts their image. Thus the launch of Lexus and what we have today. Same company, two brands. I think the same thing may happen to the Life movement.

While I support traditional marriage and think this too, will hurt or society, I think this movement should be separated from the Life movement.

Thank you for your consideration and please forward this to whomever you wish. I’m open to suggestions, but these are my thoughts after much consideration and study.

Planned Parenthood Put Women at Risk With After Hours Abortions, No Staff Present

Dover, DE | 7/30/13 4:09 PM

Three former employees of the Planned Parenthood abortion business testified before the Delaware state legislature today and told lawmakers that the abortion giant frequently put women’s health and lives at risk.

The three former Planned Parenthood of Delaware employees testified before a bipartisan panel of the Delaware state legislature. The two nurses and one former manager said Planned Parenthood officials knew about improper, dangerous “after hours” abortions being performed by abortionist Eric Schaff without any support medical staff.

It’s A Girl: The Three Deadliest Words

It’s a girl: The three deadliest words in the world

itsagirldocureEditor’s note. This first appeared at mercatornet.com. An estimated 200 million girls are missing. How can the world community stand by and allow gendercide to continue? asks the maker of a documentary film on this scandal.

The United Nations estimates that as many as 200 million girls are missing today, the majority from India and China. What are the cultural patterns and individual stories behind this shocking statistic? Evan Grae Davis, an American who has extensive experience in the developing world, has produced a documentary film that answers this question through the mouths of women immersed in these cultures and activists who are campaigning for them. In this email interview with MercatorNet he explained how he came to make the film and what needs to happen next.
