Pro-life Friend-
Virginia matters! You may not live there, but Virginia should be as important to YOU as it is to me. Virginia is the battleground where we show that life is a winning issue. There are only two elections this year – and if we lose the only competitive race in the nation between a strong pro-life leader and a radical pro-abortion candidate, it will have serious consequences for both the 2014 midterms and the presidential race in 2016. On Monday, the National Review Online did a great job hitting all of the important points of why this race matters nationally:
Pro-life Friend, the nation is starting to focus on Virginia. It’s the test for the elections to come: Will Americans support a pro-life candidate? Were the amazing strides the pro-life movement made this summer just a “flash in the pan”? Right now, the media is saying that pro-life issues don’t matter to elections. They’ve seen the fundraising gap: Terry McAuliffe – who supports abortion on-demand right up to birth – is actually leading Cuccinelli by almost 2 to 1 when it comes to fundraising. We’ve got to fight back. We can’t a pro-abortion leader like Hillary Clinton use Virgina to kick-start her presidential campaign. That’s why at Women Speak Out – Virginia, we are all in for this race. We’ve committed to fundraising 250,000 dollars for Ken. It’s a lot, but we know it’s what Ken needs to overcome the abortion industry and the Clinton election machine. Please donate to Women Speak Out – VA. Help us remind the nation that life is a winning issue. For Life,
Emily Buchanan https://www.vawomenspeakout.com/

Pro-life Friend –
Have you ever supported a Pregnancy Care Center?
They are incredible. The compassion, care, and dedication that volunteers pour into our nation’s most vulnerable expecting mothers rebuilds families and saves lives.
But right now Pregnancy Care Centers are under attack from the abortion lobby. They are releasing “undercover footage” that attack the beliefs of volunteers who distribute food, clothing, and diapers to expecting mothers who have nowhere else to turn.
I was speechless until I found out who was behind this smear campaign: NARAL.
NARAL is desperate. They haven’t been relevant for years. They tried to claw back into the spotlight by attacking the Susan B. Anthony List. When that failed, they turned to smear the most compassionate wing of our movement.
To a radical group like NARAL, Pregnancy Care Centers look like an easy target. They often run on shoestring budgets and, politically, cannot defend themselves.
But with your help, the Susan B. Anthony List can.
We want a fight. I will gladly swing back, and hard, to defend these pro-life champions.
Please donate today. We have to defend Pregnancy Care Centers and make sure that everyone recognizes NARAL’s baseless attack as a last-ditch effort to get attention.
For life,

Marjorie Dannenfelser

Credit: Image from Gray’s Anatomy (1918); Public DomainIt’s not just a baby-to-be developing in the womb; pregnant women are also growing a whole new organ. The placenta is the only transient organ in the human body. It starts to form when the fertilized egg, at this point a multicellular blastocyst, implants in the uterine wall about a week after conception. The outer layer of the blastocyst, called the trophoblast, develops into what will be the bulk of the placenta.
Once the placenta is established, its job is to form a porous barrier between mom’s and baby’s blood. Maternal vessels seep nutrients and oxygen into spaces called intervillous spaces in the placenta, where fetal vessels pick up these necessities to deliver to the developing fetus via the umbilical. The fetus rids itself of waste in the same way.
The placenta has another, lesser-known part to play in its role as temporary organ. This one-pound (2.2-kilogram) dark-red disk is also an endocrine organ, meaning it excretes hormones. These hormones, from human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG, the hormone detected in pregnancy tests) to estrogen and progesterone, are crucial for maintaining the pregnancy and preparing the mammary glands for nursing.

After the active ingredient in most birth control pills has done its duty preventing pregnancy, it begins a second life as a pollutant that can harm wildlife in waterways.
Not only is ethinyl estradiol quite potent — creating “intersex” fish and amphibians — but it is very difficult to remove from wastewater, which carries it into natural waterways.
Since women around the planet take the pill, this is a global problem. The European Union is the first entity to seriously consider mandating the removal of ethinyl estradiol, also known as EE2, from wastewater. However, as researchers pointed out in Thursday’s (May 24) issue of the journal Nature, the question of whether to remove the pollutant is not simple.

Thursday, August 8, 2013: Jefferson County Alabama Circuit Court Judge Joseph Boohaker ruled today that the abortion business operating out of the New Women All Women building in Birmingham was subject to regulation by the Alabama Department of Public Health. He further ruled that since abortionist Dr. Bruce Norman has not obtained proper licensure from the Department of Public Health, the business should be permanently enjoined.
This news comes on the heels of the discovery of an apparent botched abortion at Mississippi’s only abortion clinic, a facility which is also owned by Diane Derzis, and out of which abortionist Norman operates as well. Local pro-life activists took to the streets in Montgomery to bring public attention to the hazard Derzis is creating for women. (more…)

NaProTECHNOLOGY— A Major Breakthrough In Monitoring and Maintaining a Woman’s Reproductive and Gynecological Health
NaProTECHNOLOGY (Natural Procreative Technology) is a new women’s health science that monitors and maintains a woman’s reproductive and gynecological health. It provides medical and surgical treatments that cooperate completely with the reproductive system.
Thirty years of scientific research in the study of the normal and abnormal states of the menstrual and fertility cycles have unraveled their mysteries.
NaProTECHNOLOGY— A Major Breakthrough.

This is the first women’s health science to network family planning with reproductive health monitoring and maintenance. It is a fertility-care based medical approach rather than a fertility-control approach to family planning and gynecological health.
