Pro-life Friend –
Are you ready? We have to outlaw late-term abortions and end the government-sanctioned torture of unborn children who can feel pain. Kermit Gosnell made it infamous, but there are still abortionists around the country who are willing to extinguish the life of a child up to – and after – birth. And, there is no one to stop them. The historic Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act that passed in the House was only the start. For the first time our representatives passed a bill that would limit abortions – not just outlaw procedures or prevent funding. The federal government would actually be protecting a class of unborn children. We won this vote in the House thanks to the hard work of our pro-life allies and you. Not only did we win a strong majority of the representatives, but we also have the American public behind our movement. Every poll since the Gosnell trial shows that Americans want a federal law to protect these unborn children. Now we have to focus the nation on the Senate and demand that they work to introduce and enact a bill to protect the 15,000 babies whose lives are ended each year by late-term abortionists. Each Senator needs to hear from pro-lifers around the country, all asking the same question: What will you do to protect these unborn children? But, we can’t ask more from our senators than we ask from ourselves. That’s why the SBA List created a pledge for you to sign and show that you are committed to this fight. Will you sign our pledge today to do everything that you can to make sure the Senate introduces and votes on a bill to stop the torture of unborn babies who feel pain? This week begins our push to make sure every Senator knows how the pro-life movement feels about their inaction. I’m committed to this fight, and I’ve already signed this pledge. Will you? Thank you,
Marjorie Dannenfelser |
